Smoking and Cancer Treatment

This leaflet explains why it’s never too late to stop smoking for people diagnosed with cancer. It explains how smoking can improve the effectiveness of cancer treatments - radiotherapy, chemotherapy and surgery. Written in conjunction with the Royal Marsden NHS Foundation Trust, a specialist centre for cancer treatment, it offers suggestions as to where smokers can get help to stop smoking at this difficult time. Suitable for oncology departments as well as specialist radiotherapy, chemotherapy and surgery departments.
