Chemical Soup Training Pack

The Chemical Soup training tool kit has been designed to accompany the Chemical Soup Interactive Display and raise awareness of the dangerous effects secondhand smoke has on children. The message is simple - take 7 steps out to smoke, keep your homes and cars smokefree and protect your children from tobacco smoke.

The interactive tool kit was developed by Tobacco Free Futures and can be used with parents, carers, health professionals and community members. A Chemical Soup training session can last up to 90 minutes and attendees are encouraged to go on to deliver the training themselves either formally or informally and spread the message far and wide.

The kit includes a 4 minute film highlighting chemicals found in secondhand smoke, a 20 minute training film, a PowerPoint presentation which can be adapted and used to deliver the training, and five photocopiable inserts, including key facts, case studies, quiz sheets and evaluation form.
