The preparations for next year’s No Smoking Day have begun, and the No Smoking Day team have hit the road with a series of free regional events to launch the campaign.

This year they will be joined by GASP who will be showcasing some of their products with a stall at each and every event. So wherever you are in the UK you can be one of the first to discover the new campaign theme. At each of the events Cecilia Farren will be exploring ways of making great use of this year’s theme, and you’ll be able to pick up your 2011 Campaign Handbook, giving you a step by step guide to planning a great campaign. Anne Milton, Parliamentary Under Secretary for Health, spoke at the Birmingham event. As well as congratulating the 2010 Organiser of the Year winners, Mrs Milton expressed the Government’s recognition of the success of smoking cessation practitioners in improving the health of the nation.

An added reason to plan ahead and order early this year is the increase in the VAT rate which takes place on January 4th 2011.
